A retired Firefighter with 35 years of frontline experience in emergency operations and now in my tenth year of Fire Service recruitment. I progressed from the rank of Probationary Firefighter to Platoon Chief and along the way received a Bachelor of Arts Degree, a Diploma in Public Administration as well as a wealth of Fire Service information and knowledge. The turnaround time depends on the Member.
How much time the Member has available, how hard they work and how quickly they can move.
If there is a posting a Member would like to apply to, BHC will be very clear on the turnaround time obligations.
BHC does not work at midnight the night before the posting closes.

There is no secret sauce with interview preparation. You must put your nose to the grindstone and work at your pace, but remember once a posting comes out there is a limited time frame to apply.

The hiring process is not static and there are many moving parts.
